One ritual I love to integrate into my wellness routine is grabbin’ a cup of coffee or tea. Here’s a roundup of places you can head to in Chicago for a cup of your own.

Intelligentsia

The go – to spot when you want a classic quality cup of coffee. They care about their roasts, take care with their preparation, and always give a warm welcome. Just be prepared to wait a minute for a pour-over coffee. It might not be as quick as Starbucks, but the quality is far superior. This place is for the coffee connoisseur.

Herb & Alchemy

This shop specializes in herb – infused coffees. They focus on fresh, unprocessed food, and only use natural sweeteners like date syrup. The decor is bright with plants, and airy from floor to ceiling windows

Sawada Coffee

The go to spot for matcha lattes. Particularly, a military latte. Which is vanilla, espresso, matcha and milk. I have to say you haven’t tasted matcha until you’ve had a military latte. Tucked away in a hidden, spray painted door, this spot will wow you as soon as you step in.

Maison Marcel

Croissant and a coffee is what you should order up here. Freshly baked pastries line the glass filled case in front of the register. People sip coffee and chat, or work on their laptops in the designated study table. Boho decor makes this place cozy and eclectic.
