Oatmeal has many health benefits like assisting with weight loss, lowering blood sugar and boosting serotonin to lower stress. However, I’ve never really been an oatmeal person, until I started adding almond butter to the recipe! It tastes like a granola bar. Next time, I might try heating up the apples in the pan along with the oatmeal, but I really enjoyed this bowl as is.
Other breakfast items I frequently eat include a macchiato with a biscotti cookie, poached eggs over toast with avocado, turkey bacon and eggs, and on occasion, a classic doughnut. With working from home amidst this pandemic, I’ve been putting effort toward making breakfast a relaxing time to kick my day off on the right note. With a busier schedule when I’m heading to work, sometimes I skip breakfast and eat an early lunch, but this new routine has been working for me.
